For this completed Ultimate Creations NY project, we transformed the top-floor event space at The Bordone in Long Island City into a romantic marriage-proposal reveal built around a dramatic red-carpet entrance and oversized illuminated MARRY ME marquee letters.
The design used a bold red-and-white palette with warm candlelight and softly colored marquee bulbs. White balloon clusters framed the focal area and helped soften the large-scale lettering, while the long red carpet created a clear approach through the room. The result was a simple, high-impact proposal setup designed to feel memorable from the moment the couple entered the space.
A Romantic Proposal Reveal Above Long Island City
The main focal point was the oversized illuminated MARRY ME letter installation placed across the far side of the room. The letters created a photo-ready backdrop without requiring a separate wall or printed backdrop. Their scale worked especially well in the open top-floor setting, where the windows and surrounding city views added to the atmosphere.
A red carpet ran directly toward the marquee letters, creating a strong visual line through the room. Small candle-style lights were spaced along both sides of the aisle, with white decorative accents and balloon clusters continuing the romantic theme.

This particular design focused on marquee letters, balloons, lighting and aisle styling rather than floral centerpieces. Ultimate Creations NY can also incorporate florals, custom backdrops, pedestals, signs, candles, rentals and other décor elements when a client wants a fuller proposal package.
