Nathan’s 1st Birthday: Mickey Mouse-Themed Décor at Simcha’s Palace in Queens

For Nathan’s first birthday at Simcha’s Palace on Main Street in Queens, New York, Ultimate Creations NY created a playful, polished Mickey Mouse-themed celebration backdrop designed to give the party a strong photo-ready focal point.

A Custom First-Birthday Focal Design

The centerpiece of the installation is a tall white arch backdrop personalized with “Nathan’s 1st Birthday.” It is framed with an organic balloon garland in classic red, yellow and black, accented with clear confetti balloons, red-and-black polka-dot balloons, and Mickey-head-shaped balloon details. The color palette keeps the design instantly recognizable while still looking clean and coordinated in the venue.

To the right of the backdrop, a large metallic red number-one balloon emphasizes the birthday milestone. A Mickey character prop and stacked themed cubes add height, dimension and playful detail, while a coordinating welcome sign on an easel helps carry the design through the arrival area.

Balloon Décor, Backdrop & Themed Props

This completed project focused on balloon décor, a personalized backdrop, themed props and signage. The photographed focal setup does not feature fresh florals or table centerpieces; instead, the layered balloon installation and character-inspired props provide the visual impact. The supplied photos focus on this feature area rather than a full-room installation, so we are showing the décor exactly as completed and photographed.

Customers can use this setup as inspiration for a first birthday, children’s birthday party, character-inspired celebration, photo backdrop or venue entrance display. The concept can be adapted to a different venue, color palette, theme, backdrop size, guest count, budget and overall décor scope.
